Eurofins Participates in Plastics Safety and Foreign Trade Summit

Recently, the Eleventh China Plastics Trade Fair Organizing Committee, together witih the Taizhou Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, Ningbo Meishan Free Trade Port Area Management Committee, and the Taizhou Plastics Industry Association jointly organized the “Plastics Safety and Foreign Trade Summit” in Taizhou, Zhejiang. Eurofins attended as guest experts to discuss plastics safety issues with attendees.
With the Chinese plastics industry’s development, plastic products have become an integral part of everyday food, clothing, housing, communications and entertainment. Taizhou is known as the “China Plastics Kingdom” or “China’s Mold Town”, and Taizhou plastic products make up a large share of the international trade and export; the summit invited industry leading businesses and testing and certification authorities to discuss how to meet environmental requirements during the raw materials, the production process, distribution and transportation, and trade and export stages, especially for food contact materials closely linked with everyday life. Eurofins Shanghai Laboratory Consumer Products Department General Manager, Mr. Buqing Li, gave a special report, giving in-depth analysis of EU plastics safety regulations and the resulting continuous increase in product quality and safety index throughout the plastics industry, raising the banner of Chinese manufacturing in the international arena.
